Le immagini sono tratte da diapositive 24x36, 64 asa, scattate con una Reflex tradizionale, Olympus OM3 con soffietto e flash dedicato. Gli esemplari sono stati fotografati in laboratorio. Le foto sono state fatte con diaframma dell' obiettivo tutto chiuso per ottenere la massima profondità di campo, e flash per compensare la grande perdità di luminosità dovuta sia al diaframma chiuso che al forte "tiraggio" del soffietto. Il flash utilizzato con rapporti di riproduzione 5:1 ed oltre perde l’automatismo ed allora bisogna provare e riprovare alle varie distanze finché non si trova la giusta esposizione. Su un rullino di 36 pose 20-25 immagini buone e già un gran successo.

The pictures have been taken using a 24x36, 64 asa. Device, shot with a traditional Relfex Olympus OM3 camera with extension lens and flash. The specimens were photographed in the laboratory. The photos were were taken with the objective diaphragm totally closed so as to obtain greater field depth. The flash was used to compensate for the immense loss of light due to the closed diaphragm, with a strong “pulling” of the lextension lens. The flash was used at a 5:1 ratio and the further loss of the automatic function necessitated many attempts in shooting at varying distances until the right exposure was achieved. That 20-25 good shots were obtained from a roll of film of 36 exposures, was considered a very successful achievement indeed.
