IPTM International Project for Teaching Malacology Hannco P.A.J. Bakker Hello, My name is Hannco. I am a student at the University of Leiden, I study Biology. I am born and raised in the Netherlands, 21 years old. I recently finished my Bachelor and will soon start with my Master. I study in the direction of evolution, biodiversity and conservation biology. In my study I am very interested in Mollusks. My interest started with a excursion to Normandy which was available during a summer course of the University. The topic “Mollusks” was given to me and I was amazed about the biodiversity among them, which we saw during this excursion.  Now a few years later, my interest in Mollusks became bigger and soon I will start a Master research on Land snails. I can’t wait to start. It would be nice to show the world the amazing biodiversity underneath Mollusks, how beautiful they are, and all the amazing things they can do. I hope I can share this passion for Mollusks with you.
