IPTM International Project for Teaching Malacology Alain van't Woudt I am a schoolprincipal of a primary school (children of age between 4- 12 years). My grandfather took me, when I was a kid, on regulary base to a shellmuseum in The Hague (The Netherlands). He always bought a nice Shell for himself and gave me some money each time for starting my own collection. Many years later I have specialized myself in the family conidae, but also collect different families and especially shells from the mediterranean sea. You can find me in the weekends and holidays often at the beach, where I am looking with my own kids for shells. Now I am taking them to the same Shellmuseum my grandpa took me. At my school, one of the subjects of biology is mollusks and sealife. I hope to inspire at least a few pupils.
